Too much discipline for too long will backfire. You will get tired of endless hard work, and just drop it all together. Taking one day off per week during weight loss allows your mind and body to take a break. The next day you will feel refreshed and ready to go.(read more)
Will power is over rated. You simply can't fight human nature for a sustained periods of time. It is folly to put a strong temptation in front of yourself and think your raw will power will prevail, often it won't.(read more)

Awareness of our eating and mis-eating patterns is one of the most important aspects to weight loss. Asking yourself these four questions every time you eat will help you make the right decisions. What am I eating, why am I eating, when am I eating, how much am I eating. (read more)

My first attempt at an exercise plan this year was 0-60 in 1 week. I hit it super hard out of the gates. As I wrote last post, I crashed and just stopped mid week. This time I will try an evolving progression from reasonable to more rigorous over the remainder of the year.(read more)

Make no mistake, weight loss is an extraordinary challenge. Never underestimate the vigilance required to lose weight and to keep it off. It is not impossible obviously, and it can be done in a way that is rewarding. But remember this: if you don’t make weight loss your most important thing, you won’t succeed.(read more)
